Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-08-16
tcgget (the «Service») establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy under Article 30 of the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, to protect the personal information of data subjects and handle related complaints promptly.
The Service does not require registration and does not directly collect information that identifies an individual — name, contact details, resident registration number and the like. The sections below concern the indirect information that nonetheless arises — access logs, cookies and so on.
1. Purposes of processing
- Providing the website, verifying it works, preventing abuse and misuse
- Improving quality through usage analytics
- Serving advertising and measuring its performance, including personalised ads
- Replying to enquiries and feedback you send us voluntarily
If the purpose changes we will take the necessary steps, including obtaining separate consent, under Article 18 of the Act.
2. What we process and how it is collected
| Category | Items | How collected |
|---|---|---|
| Access logs | IP address, user agent, request path, time of access, referrer | Generated automatically on access |
| Cookies and ad identifiers | Advertising cookies, device and browser identifiers | Collected automatically by ad scripts |
| Usage behaviour | Pages viewed, search terms, whether a scan or appraisal was run | Generated automatically as you use the Service |
| Enquiry details | What you write, and optionally an email for our reply | Entered in the feedback or enquiry form |
The reply email is optional; leaving it blank does not limit your enquiry. We do not store card scan images on our servers.
3. Processing and retention periods
- Access logs: up to 90 days, per our hosting provider's policy
- Usage statistics: kept only in aggregate with identifiers removed
- Enquiries and feedback: one year after resolution, then destroyed without delay
Where other legislation prescribes a different retention period, that period applies.
4. Provision to third parties
The Service does not provide personal information to third parties. Exceptions apply where legislation specifically provides for it, or where an investigative authority requests it through lawful process. The delegated processing in section 5 below is distinct from provision to third parties.
5. Delegated processing and overseas transfer
To run the Service we delegate processing as set out below. Most processors are outside Korea, so we also disclose the overseas transfer under Article 28-8 of the Act.
- Delegated task
- Serving ads, measuring performance, personalised advertising
- Items transferred
- Cookies and ad identifiers, IP address, browser and device information
- Destination
- The US and other countries where Google operates data centres
- Retention
- As per Google's policy
- Delegated task
- Visit analytics and service improvement
- Items transferred
- Cookies and device identifiers, IP address, pages and screen titles viewed, device and browser information
- Destination
- The US and other countries where Google operates data centres
- Retention
- As per the GA4 retention setting (2 to 14 months by default)
- Delegated task
- Website hosting and delivery
- Items transferred
- Access logs (IP, user agent, request path, timestamp)
- Destination
- Republic of Korea (Seoul region) and the countries hosting CDN edges
- Retention
- Up to 90 days per the log retention policy
You may object to the overseas transfer. If you do, advertising becomes non-personalised and some features may be limited.
6. How we destroy personal information
We destroy information without delay once the retention period ends or the purpose is fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted by technical means that prevent recovery; printed material is shredded or incinerated. Information we must retain under other legislation is moved to separate storage.
7. Cookies and personalised advertising
We use cookies to improve your experience and to serve advertising. Google AdSense advertising is currently served.
You can refuse cookie storage and personalised advertising yourself, as follows.
- Browser settings > Privacy > block or delete cookies
- Google Ad Settings — adssettings.google.com ↗
- Opt out of third-party advertising — optout.aboutads.info ↗
Blocking cookies leaves most features working, though some settings will not persist.
8. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information. Send your request in writing or by email to the contact below; we will act without delay. A legal representative or an authorised agent may also exercise these rights.
Because we run no user accounts, we hold nothing that identifies a particular individual. We may therefore ask for further details to pinpoint the information your request concerns.
9. Children under 14
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we learn that we have, we destroy it without delay.
10. Sensitive data, unique identifiers, pseudonymised data
The Service does not process sensitive data such as beliefs, health or sexual life, nor unique identifiers such as resident registration numbers, at all. Nor do we combine or process pseudonymised data separately. (Not applicable.)
11. Security measures
- HTTPS (TLS) encryption end to end
- Access control on admin pages and least-privilege permissions
- Minimal collection — designed not to take identifying information in the first place
- Limited retention of access logs and periodic destruction
12. Data protection officer
We have designated the following officer to take overall responsibility for the processing of personal information and to handle related complaints and remedies.
- Officer
- To be published once settled
- Contact
- contact@tcgget.com
13. Where to seek redress
If you need to report a privacy violation or seek advice, the following bodies can help.
14. External links
We link to external sites such as Yahoo Auctions, eBay and Rakuten. This policy does not apply to how those sites handle personal information, so please check their own policies.
15. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as legislation, policy or the Service changes. We announce any change on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect — 30 days where the change materially affects your rights.
